Privacy Policy

Who we are
Senior Games Hub (seniorgameshub.com) is run by Svahabyte, based in Indonesia. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Svahabyte. We are responsible for the personal data described here.
You can reach us at any time at [email protected].
What we collect
We collect only what we need to run the games:
- A guest account. When you first open the site, we create a guest account for your device. It has a random ID and no name or email.
- Your email address, if you ask for a sign-in code by email, even if you never finish signing in. With it we keep a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code, when you asked for it and how many tries you made, to prevent abuse. The code itself stops working after 10 minutes.
- Your Google account ID and email address, if you sign in with Google. Google tells us these when you choose to sign in. Google also sends your name and profile picture, but we do not keep them. We do not get your Google password.
- Your display name, if you choose one. It is shown on the leaderboard.
- Your game results: which puzzles you played and when, your moves, your score, and whether you finished. We use these to work out your streak and stats.
- Sign-in details for each device: a scrambled (hashed) copy of the key that keeps you signed in, the type of browser and device you use, and when you last used it.
- Technical data. Our server uses your IP address to limit repeated attempts and keep the service safe. Our server logs record each request, such as the page or action, the time and whether it worked. Our hosting provider may also record your IP address in its own logs.
We do not ask for your real name, address, phone number, date of birth or payment details.
How we use it
- To run the games and save your progress.
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To show your streak, your stats and the leaderboard.
- To send you sign-in codes by email. We do not send newsletters or marketing.
- To protect the service from abuse, fix problems and keep it working well.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- When ads are live, to show ads, as described under Advertising below.
Legal bases
Where the law asks us to have a reason for using your data, ours are:
- Providing the service you asked for (a contract with you): your account, game results, streaks and sign-in.
- Our legitimate interests: keeping the service safe, limiting abuse, fixing problems and paying for the service with ads that are not personalised.
- Your consent: for personalised ads, where the law requires it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Storage on your device
We save a few small items in your browser’s storage. They are needed for the site to work, so they do not need your consent:
- The key that keeps you signed in, for a guest or an account.
- Your settings: sounds, vibration, color-blind friendly colors, and light or dark appearance.
- Which games’ “How to play” help you have already seen.
- A short note that lets the page reload once after we update the site. It is removed when you close the tab.
We do not set cookies ourselves today. When you open the Profile page, we load Google’s sign-in button, and Google may set or read its own cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy. Ads may also use cookies, as described below.
Advertising
Senior Games Hub may show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. These ads help keep the games free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we will ask for your consent before personalised ads or their cookies are used.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the services that help us run the site:
- Our hosting provider, which runs our servers and database.
- Our email provider, which delivers your sign-in codes.
- Google, when you choose Sign in with Google.
- Google AdSense and its partners, once ads are live, as described above.
Other players see only your display name and scores on the leaderboard. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users and the service.
International transfers
We are based in Indonesia, and our service providers may store or handle data in other countries, such as the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws from yours. When we transfer data, we take the steps the law requires to keep it protected.
How long we keep data
- Account data, including your game results and display name, is kept until you delete the account.
- Each device stays signed in for up to 90 days after you last use it, unless you sign out sooner.
- Records of past sign-ins on a device (the scrambled key, the type of browser and device, and when it was last used) are kept after they expire, until you ask us to delete them or until we clear out old records.
- If you ask for a sign-in code, we keep the email address you entered, a scrambled copy of the code, the time and the number of tries. We keep these to prevent abuse, even if you never finish signing in, until you ask us to delete them or until we clear out old records. The code itself stops working after 10 minutes.
- Server logs and rate-limit records are kept for up to 90 days.
To delete your account, email us at [email protected] from the email address you signed in with. We will delete your account and its data within 30 days.
If you only played as a guest, your results are linked to a random ID stored on your device. To remove it from your device, clear this site’s data in your browser. If you also want the copy on our server deleted, email us and tell us roughly when and on which device you played.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- show you the personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong (you can also change your display name in Profile);
- delete your data;
- stop or limit how we use your data, or object to it;
- send your data to you or to another service in a common format;
- withdraw your consent, for example to personalised ads.
These rights come from laws such as Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California.
We do not sell your personal information. Once ads are live, you have the right to opt out of the “sharing” of your personal information for personalised ads. You can do this with the links under Advertising, or by emailing us. We will not treat you differently for using any of your rights.
To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm it is you, for example by writing from the email address you signed in with. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
If you only played as a guest, we know you only by a random ID on your device. Clear this site’s data in your browser to remove it there, and email us if you want the server copy deleted. Tell us roughly when and on which device you played, so we can find it.
Children
Senior Games Hub is not meant for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the site, and send email over encrypted connections. Sign-in codes and the keys that keep you signed in are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. No system is completely safe, but we work to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when ads go live. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will also tell you on the site.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. This does not take away any rights you have under the data protection laws where you live.
